2017.09.14

The 21st Workshop on Pharmaceutical Technology Succession was held by the Academy of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Japan (APSTJ) at Dome-mae campus of Meijo University on Friday, July 14, 2017, and Mr. Fukuta, Head of Pharmaceutical Technology R&D Division of SPERA PHARMA, made a lecture on “Design of Oral Controlled-release Formulation”. In this workshop, lecturers who are recognized as “the Master of Pharmaceutical Technology” give their lectures for young to mid-level researchers intended to hand them on the formulation technology and to understand and develop the important formulation technology.

Mr. Fukuta explained the controlled-release technology which is important to improve product added value such as enhancement of the efficacy of the oral formulations, reduction of adverse effects and improvement of adherence with market needs. He also explained a lot of formulation design and case studies that he has contributed. After his speech, participating researchers asked questions one after another and there was enthusiastic and progressive discussion. Because of this, we reconfirmed the many challenges and importance of this technical field.
SPERA PHARMA would like to proactively contribute to create superior and innovative pharmaceuticals through providing our formulation technology and know-how accumulated so far.
